Radio: Teacher shortages and the ‘crisis’ in rural and remote schools, incentives and what needs to change

Media interest in last Friday’s August 12th Education Ministers Meeting in Canberra continues. Today on ABC News Radio morning presenter Mandy Presland asked me for some solutions to the shortage of teachers in rural and remote schools plus we talked about new incentives, entry requirements to ITE and whether Australia is being ‘dumbed down’ … not sure I addressed it all – BUT here’s the chat anyway.

NOTE: Further discussion from a MCERA webinar on the 26th August about issues not currently on the ‘teacher shortage table’ – but perhaps they should be?
